In the period from October 21 to November 01, 2024, the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized and conducted a thematic course for judges of regional and equivalent courts dealing with administrative cases on the topic “Practice of applying the norms of administrative procedural legislation”.

Judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan and local courts, as well as retired judges, representatives of international and local institutions and organizations, also the teaching staff of the Academy of Justice were involved in conducting the course.

The thematic course was aimed at developing judges’ personal competencies and professional skills in a specialized area. During the course, the issues of practical application of the principles of administrative procedural legislation, verification of the validity of administrative acts, appeal to acts, as well as the specifics of consideration of certain categories of administrative cases (housing, tax, antimonopoly, land disputes, public procurement) were highlighted.

Also, within the framework of this course, on October 31, 2024, course participants had the opportunity to participate in the XV International Scientific and Practical Conference on Administrative Law on the topic: “Administrative Law and process: current state and future challenges”, organized by the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
