Thematic dialogue "Ashyq Alan" on issues of criminal and criminal procedural legislation
On December 18, 2024, the Scientific and Educational Center for Criminal Law Disciplines of the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a thematic dialogue platform for lawyers “Ashyq Alan” on the topic: “Gaps in criminal, criminal procedural legislation and ways to eliminate them”. The event was moderated by the acting director of the mentioned above center, candidate of legal sciences B.R. Sembekova.
The thematic dialogue was opened with a welcoming speech by the acting rector of the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of legal sciences K.K. Musin, who outlined the annual nature of the thematic dialogue meetings with lawyers held by the Academy of Justice to consider current issues in all branches of law and emphasized the importance and significance of the researched topic for improving the norms of criminal and criminal procedural legislation.
At this thematic dialogue platform, reports were made by the judge of the Astana city court N.E. Bayakhmetov, Doctor of legal sciences, Analyst of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.E. Ismagulov, candidate of legal sciences, teaching professor at Maksut Narikbayev University E.E. Mussenova. Based on the results of the presented reports, a discussion was held on the main aspects of the problems under study due to their significance from the standpoint of theoretical and practical interest.
Master’s students of the Academy of Justice also took an active part in the discussion. In particular, D.S. Idrissov, I.A. Zhabagibaeva (whose academic supervisor is candidate of legal sciences B.R. Sembekova); E.T. Magauiya, B.S. Serikov (scientific supervision of master’s projects for which was assigned to candidate of legal sciences A.A. Biyebaeva) presented informative reports.
