International Conference in Baku
From December 17 to 18, 2024, an international conference “Transnational Aspects in Legal Relations: Modern Challenges and Goals” was held in Baku under the auspices of the Turkic Judicial Training Network (TJTN), organized by the Scientific and Educational Center of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Kazakhstan was represented at this event by two universities – the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As part of the panel session of the international conference dedicated to the protection of victims of transnational crimes, Professor of the Scientific and Educational Center for Criminal Law Disciplines, candidate of legal sciences Ardak Biyebayeva made a presentation on the topic “Kazakhstan’s experience in protecting victims of transnational crimes using criminal law mechanisms”. Director of the Center for Academic Programs and Projects, PhD Maigul Abilova, as part of a panel session dedicated to the commercial law of the Turkic countries, made a report on the topic “Transnational transactions in the conflict of laws of Kazakhstan: regulation and enforcement”.
In the final part of the scientific and practical event, a ceremony of transferring the chairmanship of the Turkic Judicial Training Network (TJTN) took place. Accepting this honorable mission on behalf of Kazakhstan, Rector of the Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Seksembayev noted that the Turkic Judicial Training Network is becoming an important platform for exchanging experience and strengthening cooperation in the legal sphere and assured the participants of their readiness to build on the achieved results and strengthen interaction in 2025 as the presiding country.
