




The Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the opening of an intensive legal training program designed for candidates for judicial positions.
The intensive legal training is being conducted at the initiative of the High Judicial Council, in cooperation with the Supreme Court, the Academy of Justice, the Judicial Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the OSCE Programme Office in Astana.
The event was moderated by Yevgeniya Dzhanatovna Oralova, National Legal Issues Coordinator of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana.
Welcoming remarks at the opening of the training were delivered by Yerlan Zhumakhanovich Aytzhanov, Member of the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Assylbek Seilkhanovich Musralinov, Deputy Head of the Judicial Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan; H.E. Ambassador Alexey Aleksandrovich Rogov, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Astana; Kanat Kalkamanovich Mussin, Acting Rector of the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council, and Olga Sergeyevna Bektibayeva, Dean of the Higher School of Law at Maqsut Narikbayev University.
The objective of the legal training is to enhance the quality of preparation of judicial candidates, develop practical skills in legal analysis, argumentation, and drafting judicial documents, as well as to ensure comprehensive preparation for all stages of the qualification examination, from computer-based testing to interviews with members of the Qualification Commission under the Council.
More than 100 participants are taking part in the training, providing an opportunity to identify the most well-prepared and competitive candidates for judicial appointment.
Following the welcoming addresses, participants completed mock tests assessing their knowledge of legislation.
In addition, training sessions aimed at preparing candidates for the judicial qualification examination were conducted by S. Salimzhanova, representative of the High Judicial Council, as well as by professors of the Academy of Justice, K.K. Mussin, A.A. Biyebayeva, and R.R. Sultanov.
