On July 11, 2024, a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of the magistracy was held at the Academy of Justice.

For the first time in the history of the Academy, the presentation was held in an unconventional format, in a picturesque place near Astana – in the «BalQaragai» recreation area. 

This year, according to the results of the final certification, all 72 graduates of the Academy received a master’s degree in the educational program “7M04201 – Court and Justice”. It is important to note that the final certification was conducted by a commission formed of highly qualified experts: judges of the Supreme Court and representatives of the scientific community from the leading universities of the country. Following the results of the comprehensive examination and hearing of master’s projects, the commission noted a good level of theoretical training of graduates, as well as the practical significance of proposals and recommendations developed by undergraduates based on the results of master’s studies.  The proposals of the undergraduates were aimed at further development of the judicial system, improvement of normative and law enforcement activities.

Upon completion of the master’s degree, 71 graduates of the Academy successfully passed the qualification exam for the position of judge, which consisted of 3 stages: computer testing for knowledge of legislation, solving a case and writing an essay. At the same time, the 1st stage – computer testing – was carried out at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan according to the rules of the Supreme Judicial Council.

It should be noted that a great contribution to the professional training of future judges was made by their practical training in the courts of the capital and an internship abroad. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the Astana City Court and the skillful mentoring of judges, the practice helped to instill in undergraduates the necessary skills of judicial law enforcement. The internship of undergraduates organized in the spring at the Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev (Yekaterinburg, Russia) gave undergraduates an excellent opportunity to study legislative and judicial practice in comparative terms, as well as apply their knowledge in preparing scientific articles and writing master’s projects.

Opening the graduation ceremony, Rector Zauresh Baymoldina congratulated the graduates and the staff of the Academy on another successful graduation. Addressing the graduates, she emphasized the need for future judges to observe the best traditions of judicial proceedings, the administration of justice in the name of legality, justice, humanism and the protection of human rights. The Rector expressed hope that the graduates would effectively apply the knowledge acquired at the Academy and make every effort to increase public confidence in the courts.

Diplomas were awarded to graduates of the Academy by the curators of the groups: professors Burbaev T.K. and Zhakaeva L.S., associate professors Dzhusupova R. S.-A. and Sultanov R.R., Heads of the centers Nurysheva T.S., Abdrashev R.M. and Egemberdiev E.O.

17 graduates who particularly distinguished themselves in educational and organizational activities, scientific work, social and sports life of the Academy. They were encouraged by letters of thanks. They were presented by Rector Zauresh Baymoldina and Vice-Rector Kanat Musin.

Professors of the Academy Tuleugali Burbayev and Leila Zhakayeva also made parting wishes.

The graduates expressed their deep gratitude to the teachers and staff of the Academy for their invaluable influence in improving their education and professional development. We wished the staff of the Academy the greatest prosperity and new successes in their professional activities.

Each group performed a creative number, which pleased everyone present. Patriotic songs and poems of their own composition were performed by the graduates.

The presentation was held in a festive atmosphere, the cordiality and goodwill of all its participants was especially felt. Many interesting moments of the solemn event will remain in the memory of all participants and guests.
