The beginning of September was marked by the arrival in the Republic of
Kazakhstan of a delegation from the Turkish Academy of Justice, namely the
President of the Turkish Academy of Justice – Mr. Muhittin Ozdemir, the General
Director of Legislation of the Ministry of Justice of Turkey – Mr. Mehmet Okmen,
as well as the judge – lecturer of the Turkish Academy of Justice – Mr. Ogüz
Gokhan Yilmaz.
From September 4 to 7, 2024, meetings were held between the delegation of
the Turkish Academy of Justice and the General Prosecutor's Office of the
Republic of Kazakhstan, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies, the Supreme Court of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the
Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Academy of Justice under
the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On September 6, 2024, at the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial
Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting of the Academy staff with the
Turkish delegation took place, during which the parties spoke about the specifics
of organizing the activities of courts and the judicial system of Kazakhstan and
Turkey, exchanged experience in organizing the educational process for preparing
candidates for judges, and also shared views on trends and prospects for the
activities of the two Academies. The guests also attended a practical lesson for
master students of the Academy.
As part of the Memorandum of Cooperation concluded between the
Academy of Justice of Turkey and the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial
Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 4, 2016, further ways of interaction
were discussed in order to improve the qualifications of judges, candidates for
judges and lecturers.
