On 18 November of this year, the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting with Dr. Nadim Khalid, Professor at Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge, United Kingdom), dedicated to the role of artificial intelligence in modern education. During his lecture, “Artificial Intelligence in Educational Activities,” Professor Khalid presented an overview of contemporary educational technologies and addressed the ethical dimensions of their application. “AI offers vast opportunities, but it is critically important to preserve human judgment,” the expert emphasized. “For lawyers and judges meaningful engagement with technology is becoming a professional imperative.”
Particular attention was given to the philosophical aspects of digitalization. “Technology should enrich professional wisdom rather than replace it,” the speaker noted. “In the era of algorithms, it is human values that remain the foundation of justice.”
During the open meeting, participants discussed practical cases of integrating AI into judicial education. Following the discussion, both sides agreed to further develop joint educational and research projects.
