M.N. Abilova's participation at the conference
On February 26, 2025, M.N. Abilova, PhD, Director of the Center for Academic Programs and Projects, Professor at the Scientific and Educational Center for Civil Law Disciplines of the Academy of Justice, took part in the International scientific and practical conference «Legal Protection of International Transactions and Contracts in the Context of Globalization».
The conference was organized by the First Economic Arbitration and is aimed at discussing topical issues in the field of alternative dispute resolution in Kazakhstan, near and far abroad. The conference was attended by representatives of the legal and arbitration community of the Russian Federation, China and Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the Judicial Administration and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
M.N. Abilova disclosed in her report the issues of choosing and defining the law applicable to foreign economic contracts and drew the attention of the audience to the need to reform the conflict-of-laws legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan aimed at ensuring stability and predictability in regulating cross-border transactions, as well as the importance of constantly working with law enforcement bodies to improve their skills.
