Master’s Students of the Academy of Justice Visit the Specialized Interdistrict Court for Juvenile Affairs of Astana

As part of the course “Specifics of Judicial Consideration of Cases Arising from Marital and Family Relations,” master’s students of the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, under the guidance of PhD, Associate Professor Aygul Akhmetovna Assylbekova from the Center for Civil Law Disciplines, visited the Specialized Interdistrict Court for Juvenile Affairs of Astana.

The main purpose of the visit was to provide students with a practical understanding of judicial proceedings related to minors and family disputes within the framework of training future judicial professionals.

During the meeting, Leyla Satygaliyevna Zinasheva, Chairperson of the Court, introduced the master students to the principles and specific features of juvenile justice, emphasizing its humanistic approach and vital role in protecting the rights and interests of children.

In a discussion with Aygerim Bolatovna Umerbayeva, Judge-Coordinator for Media Relations and a graduate of the Academy of Justice, master students explored the participation of qualified psychologists in court proceedings, as well as the procedures of judicial mediation and conciliation.

As part of the visit, students attended an actual court hearing on cases involving divorce and the determination of a child’s place of residence. Following the session, Aysulu Umirserikovna Zhumatova, the presiding judge, shared insights and practical commentary on handling family law disputes.
