Participation of the staff of the Academy of Justice in the Forum on Criminal Justice for Central Asia
Acting Director of the Scientific and Educational Center for Criminal Law Disciplines, Candidate of legal sciences, Associate Professor B.R. Sembekova and coordinator of the Center for Academic Programs and Projects, Master of legal sciences D.A. Mergembayev participated in the discussion of topical issues of criminal justice reform in Central Asia, which took place on November 20-21, 2024 within the framework of the Ninth Expert Forum on criminal Justice for Central Asia with the participation of representatives of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Georgia.
During the Forum, a review of criminal justice reforms was conducted, problematic issues, prospects for the development and improvement of legal policy were discussed, and ways were identified for fruitful cooperation in the field of improving criminal justice in Central Asian countries, exchange of experience for further development of national legislation in the field of ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms.
