On October 17, 2025, a practical lesson was held at the Academy of Justice under the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which allowed undergraduates to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a real trial. Within the framework of the discipline «Application of the norms of civil procedural legislation», undergraduates of group 25-1k conducted an educational simulation of a court hearing in a civil case «On deprivation of parental rights».
The event was the culmination of deep preliminary preparation. The undergraduates independently developed a detailed case story based on a hypothetical but vital legal dispute. The scenario included complex aspects of family law that required a thorough analysis of evidence, an assessment of the arguments of the parties, and the application of substantive and procedural law.
During the simulation process, undergraduates assumed the key roles of the presiding judge, the secretary of the court session, the prosecutor, the plaintiff, the defendant, as well as witnesses. This allowed the participants to experience the psychological tension and high degree of responsibility inherent in real court proceedings.
Such interactive lesson formats are an integral part of modern legal education. They transform theoretical knowledge into practical competencies. Conducting educational models of trials is fully consistent with the strategic objective of the Academy of Justice – the training of highly qualified, ethical and ready-to-practice personnel to strengthen the judicial system of Kazakhstan.
