



On October 6, 2025, the Academy of Justice under the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a round table discussion on the topic: “Recognition and Effective Enforcement of Foreign Court and Arbitral Decisions in Kazakhstan: Experience of Judicial Officers and Judges”.
The event brought together representatives of the Supreme Court and the Judicial Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, judges of local courts, representatives of the Committee for Compulsory Enforcement of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republican and regional chambers of private judicial officers, as well as arbitrators.
During the round table, participants discussed pressing issues related to the recognition of foreign judgments in national judicial practice and the mechanisms of their enforcement implemented by judicial officers. Special attention was given to the application of international treaties and their correlation with domestic legislation. Participants shared their practical experience, proposed constructive recommendations, and developed suggestions aimed at improving the regulatory framework and law enforcement practices in this area.
The discussion sparked great interest among participants and led to an active exchange of views and ideas.
The round table served as an effective platform for dialogue between the academic community and practitioners, contributing to the further development of the institution of recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments in Kazakhstan.
