International conference on digitalization in law enforcement in Baku

In the period from June 3-6, 2024, an international conference “Digitalization and convergence in law enforcement activities of Turkic-speaking countries” was held in Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The conference was organized by the Academy of Justice of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and was the second joint scientific and practical event within the framework of the Turkic Judicial and Legal Training Network (TJTN).

In accordance with the challenges of the modern world and the objectives of the document
“Vision of the Turkic world for the period up to 2040” the use of modern information technologies in Turkic-speaking countries is of great importance.

This event brought together lawyers on
a platform that provides a scientific basis for the convergence
of the legislative systems of the Turkic countries in order to expand the scope
of existing Turkic cooperation and identify future goals
of legislative integration.

Kazakhstan was represented by two universities – the Academy of Justice at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies at the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The delegation from the Academy of Justice included: Z.H. Baimoldina – Rector of the Academy, PhD, Professor and R.S.-A. Dzhusupova, PhD, Associate Professor.

Z.H. Baimoldina made a presentation on the topic: “The use of electronic information technologies in civil proceedings in Kazakhstan.” R.S.-A. Dzhusupova – made a presentation on the topic: “The use of digital technologies in the training of future judges.”

Representatives of judicial authorities, prosecutors, academic institutes and institutions involved in the training of judges, prosecutors and other justice workers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus exchanged information that will contribute to the further development of information technologies used in the activities of the above-mentioned bodies and organizations of all participating countries and observers The Turkic Network of judicial and legal training.
