An International Practical Seminar on Human Rights was Held in Istanbul

An international practical seminar on human rights protection was held in Istanbul, attended by a delegation of the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was held on the basis of the Justice Academy of Türkiye with the participation of representatives of the countries of the Turkic Judicial Training Network – Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan was represented by representatives of the High Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Academy of Justice under the Council, as well as the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies under the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The delegation’s participation formed part of the High Judicial Council’s sustained efforts to advance international cooperation, introduce best-practice standards, and improve the quality of judicial training.

During the event, participants examined the key roles of judicial and educational institutions in ensuring human rights, with particular attention paid to international standards – including the provisions of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights, as well as the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights.

A special emphasis was placed on building lasting professional networks between the relevant institutions of the participating countries.

The seminar served as a platform for the exchange of experience, discussion of effective practices, and identification of priority directions for future cooperation.
